An unusual Staffordshire globular football pattern teapot, 7 1/2in. x 6in. high, the handle in the form of a footballer wearing Newcastle United strip executing a throw-in, the cover with finial in the form of a two-handled silver presentation cup, possibly produced to commemorate Newcastle United's three wins of the Football Association Cup Final 1950-1951 season, 1951-1952 season and 1954-1955 season (silvering worn, paint chips and finial to cup chipped).
