COVENT GARDEN: A good, original silk programme for a Gala Performance at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, 8th June 1905, in honour of the visit of King Alfonso XIII of Spain. The programme features performances from La Boheme and Romeo et Juliette, the cast including Enrico Caruso and Nellie Melba. The silk programme is printed with a decorative border featuring circular portraits of King Alfonso XIII and King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra of Great Britain, along with the British and Spanish coats of arms, has a tasselled edge and was printed by Finden Brown & Co.
