A GROUP OF TEAWARE, comprising a thirty one piece Royal Albert 'Barbara Ann' part tea set: two cake plates, two sugar bowls, eleven tea plates - some with heavier gilding, six teacups (one with small chip on the foot) and ten saucers (one cracked), together with a similar cream jug marked Melba (hairline, crazing), a Wedgwood 'Gold Damask' coffee pot (hairline), a Royal Albert Crown China 'Old English Rose' milk jug (painted over pattern fault - but not marked as second quality), a Royal Albert 'Lady Hamilton' sugar bowl (tiny glazed over chip on rim), a Hammersley & Co for Thomas Goode white and gilt coffee pot (hairline), and eight pieces of Hammersley tea ware decorated with fruit and flowers (one cup has a repaired handle, spare lid has a small hairline crack, small bowl has extensive cracks) (44) (Condition Report: specific obvious damage as stated in description, some gilding and pattern wear, signs of light use, otherwise appear ok)

Provenance: by family repute this album was compiled by Maude Thomas and her descendants. Note: Maude Thomas was Queen Elizabeth’s Mistress of the Robes when the then princess was attending events in Wales. Maude was also an accomplished musician playing Piano, the Viola and the Harp, achieving the accolade of ‘Harpist of the Rhondda’.
