A Doulton Lambeth stoneware and brass mounted table oil lamp, the stoneware egg pattern body decorated by Mark V. Marshall with two pseudo coats-of-arms depicting "Sunrise" and "Sunset" on the body, with incised leaf pattern ornament in blue and brown mottled glazings, in brass wirework pattern framing by Palmer & Co of Clerkenwell, with turned brass finials and on brass ball feet, the swept-in square base with stoneware tray at centre, complete with etched and frosted glass spherical shade, 25ins high (stoneware body fully marked "Doulton Lambeth", dated 1882 and with assistant’s marks "E.M." and "S.F.")
