Friedrich Goldscheider (1845 - 1897) Austrian Art Nouveau Large Terracotta Sculpture In The Form Of A Grecian Maiden, Signed E. Tell A large scale example circa 1890's in terracotta with painted umber and gilt finish. The whole in the form of a seated Grecian maiden draped in golden chiton, her hair elaborately coiled and tied with gold fillets. In her arms she cradles and urn, upon which perches a bird. Impressed artist signature 'E. Tell to bottom right. Impressed factory mark and numbered 3624 14 2, 'Fabrique En Autriche' to bottom centre. Very good condition, 35 inches in height, 15 inches at widest point.
A Goldscheider Staffordshire pottery art deco figure, modelled as a lady in pink dress on black plinth base, printed factory mark to base, 20 cm highOverall in good condition. Areas of crackling to the glaze and several small spots of pitting (mainly on the base). The paint is not evenly applied to either the base or shoes. Rubbing to the base. Makers mark still clear and no cracks, chips or restoration.
An Austrian painted pottery figure of a seated frog in a cape in the manner of Goldscheider, inscribed to base "1848 Austria", together with a Thomas Forrester twin-handled vase, decorated with a fisherman, signed "J Hale" CONDITION REPORTS Frog approx 13.75 cm tall. Large crack to the ruff at the back behind reveals extensive re-gluing. Chips and losses. Most of the collar has been off. Body with various small scratches, marks, nibbles etc and general signs of wear and tear throughout. Vase approx 15 cm tall, light body scratches and wear . some chips and losses to the glaze. There are some clotted marks, some crazing. The lighter colours appear to be browned. Impact mark to thebody and three resulting cracks running off from it - see images. Various general signs of wear and tear throughout on both items

Generally good condition, 58 cm Small glaze chip in rock near left foot, scratch in glaze right arm. Friedrich Goldscheider, an Austrian painted terracotta figure of a young negro boy seated on a bamboo chair 50cm. Condition. Head has been broken off and glued, small deposits of glue on collar, loss of finish in small area around repair. Chip on two toes, fishing rod missing. some wear to finish on fingers, other very minor scratches.

Two Goldscheider Art Deco pottery figures modelled as a lady in red tartan full-length coat, holding a single small suitcase in one hand, model number 7271, impressed marks, 28.5cm high and the second by Josef Lorenzl, a lady in green check coat with large bow, holding circular bag in both hands and with two suitcases beside, model 7064, 28cm high (2) (the latter a.f) The lady in red - cracked right around her ankle.The lady in green - one suitcase has been broken off and restuck, she has been broken at her legs and again reattached, chip to front of one suitcase, her head has also been detached, cracked to the base.Please see images.
