Art-déco-Frauenbüste Goebel-Bieber. Pressmarke mit Zusatz "Made in Germany". Ca. 1950er Jahre. Modell-Nr. 219. Entwurf: Kurt Goebel (1906-1991). Roter Ton, farbig glasiert. H 34 cm. Moderne Büste einer jungen Frau mit grünem Halsring, auf gestuftem Sockel 1937 eröffnete Kurt Goebel mit seiner damaligen Ehefrau Erna Bieber die Wiener Firma Goebel – Bieber. Kurt Goebel war für die Entwurfsarbeiten zuständig. Seine Gattin Erna Bieber für das Geschäftliche. Es wurden Figuren, Wandreliefs und Wandmasken hergestellt, diese zeichneten sich durch ihre raue Oberfläche und pastellfarbene Glasur aus. Die Firma bestand bis nach dem 2. Weltkrieg und wurde an eine Mitarbeiterin übergeben, die die Produktion weiterführte. Ab da wurden Modelle auch glänzend glasiert. Kurt Goebel war noch viele Jahre als freier Keramiker und Künstler tätig. Bis in die 50iger Jahre entwarf er Figuren und Wandmasken unter anderem für Keramos- Wien und die Wiener Keramikmanufaktur Friedrich Goldscheider.

Some rebuilding to shirt collar, numerous flake losses, discolouration and wear to legs, one heel possible reattached, overall extensively damaged and restored, sold as seen.
