A French Charles X ormolu library mantel clock, the eight-day bell-striking movement with engine-turned gilt Roman numeral dial, in rectangular platform case with globe, laurel wreath, book and drawing instrument surmount over faux bookcase and floral border decorated front, on engine-turned ball feet, lacking minute hand, 35cm high.
A good Queen Anne figured walnut eight-day longcase clock by 'Windmills, London' circa 1710, the rack and bell striking movement with five finned pillars and anchor escapement, with 12 inch square brass dial applied with silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with fleur de lys half hour markers, Arabic minutes and signed to lower edge, with female mask and scroll spandrels, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding holes and calendar aperture, in flat-top case with moulded cornice over integral pilasters to hood and square-top trunk door with book-matched veneers and lenticle, on plinth base, case with some restorations, 222cm high.
