A French automaton musical timepiece, circa 1890, the eight-day movement with tic-tac escapement, short pendulum and white Roman numeral enamel dial, set into naturalistic headland with cottage and windmill surmount beside three-masted vessel on simulated sea swell, the ebonised base containing musical box and movement to drive windmill sails, operated via plungers on left-hand side, restored, lacking dome, 36.5cm high.
A mahogany dwarf longcase clock, the arched hood with swan-neck pediment, urn finials and fluted turned columns, the double ogee arched waist-panel door enclosed by fluted quarter columns on a box base with moulded brick work decoration, the 18cm. arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring and automaton sailing boat to the arch, the twin-train movement striking to a bell, 153cm. high.
A 19th century watermill and singing bird automaton clock, with white enamel dial and French movement with circular plates and outside countwheel set in a galleried turret beneath a basket of flowers, the water mill beneath a cliff top windmill, the scene centred by a lofty tree with singing birds in the branches, on oval ended and waisted ebonised plinth containing the musical movement, 66cm h, c1875. In good and entirely original condition, a little dusty in places, a faint hairline crack in the enamel dial. The automata in fully working order.
