James Woolley, Codnor. An 18thC longcase clock, the arched dial with unusual automaton with Noah's ark and a bird, silver chapter ring, moon phase, and subsidiary date aperture, the 8 day and four pillar movement with centre seconds hand, in a later oak mahogany and chequer banded case, 216cm high. James Woolley (c. 1695 - 1786) produced turret and longcase clocks including one in the Nottingham Exchange.
Early 20th Century Singing birdcage automaton with two birds inside a domed brass cage on a gilt wooden and plaster base. The two birds yellow and red, stand on metal uprights and have a small gathering of faux fines and leaves between them. The automata is operated using the fixed key on the underside, one bird (red) is operational, the mouth opens and closes to the sound of birdsong however the yellow bird does not move. 35cm high.

Going order with original key, 42cm (16in) high all housed under a large glass dome standing on a figured mahogany veneered circular plinth.
