Francis Arthur Fraser (British, 1846-1924), 'Through the Wood', signed and dated 1881, label verso, watercolour, framed and glazed, picture size: 37.5cm x 27.5cm, frame size: 56.5cm x 45.5cm. This artist lived in Shere at this time. Provenance: part of The Stephen Furniss Collection of Pictures relating to Shere and The Surrey Hills. These pictures were collected during Stephen's time as a self-employed antiques dealer, trading from an Antique Centre in Shere between 1982 and 2000. .

AUTOGRAPH ALBUM: A small 8vo hardback bound ledger bearing feint ruled pages with various columns, containing 24 signed clipped pieces by a variety of famous historical individuals, some of them members of the British Royal family, the majority laid down in multiples to pages and with ink annotations in the hand of a collector to the pages, including King Edward VII (2; one example as King and the other as Prince of Wales), Queen Alexandra, King George V, Kingsley Wood, Percival Hartley, Francis Knollys, George Coventry, 9th Earl of Coventry, and his son, also George Coventry, 10th Earl of Coventry, Charles Samuel Victor Allsopp, 4th Baron Hindlip, Arthur W. Gamage (founder of Gamages department store in London), William Whiteley (founder of the William Whiteley Limited retail company and department store; shot dead in his shop by a man claiming to be his illegitimate son), Thomas Lipton, Joseph Lyons, Hiram Maxim etc. The book is bound in half morocco and with marbled endpapers and edges.
