Degen für einen hohen Offizier im Generalstab Gerade, zweischneidige Klinge von sechseckigem Querschnitt (leicht fleckig), im oberen Drittel beidseitig geätzt, vergoldet und gebläut (berieben) mit Darstellung von Blumengebinden, Kränzen und weiblicher Figur. Reich reliefiertes, vergoldetes Buntmetall-Bügelgefäß, auf dem Stichblatt reliefiert der Adler auf Blitzbündel mit Chiffre "N" an der Brust, der Knauf beidseitig mit geflügeltem Blitzbündel, Palmettenfries und umlaufendem Kranz verziert, am Griffbügel mittig ein fünfstrahliger Stern, quartseitig gewaffelte schwarze Griffschale, terzseitig eine eingelegte weiße Raute aus poliertem Bein (ergänzt). Schwarze Lederscheide (krakeliert, kleine Abreibungen, nachgeschwärzt) mit dezent verzierten vergoldeten Buntmetallbeschlägen. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Länge 101,5 cm.Seltene, repräsentative Blankwaffe mit schön erhaltener Feuervergoldung. Knuckle-bow hilt of non-ferrous metal, gilt and richly decorated in relief, on the guard plate eagle in relief on top of lightning bolts with cypher "N" on its breast, the pommel decorated on both sides with winged lightning bolts, palmette frieze and surrounding wreath, in the centre of the knuckle bow a five-rayed star, black grip scale chequered on the reverse, the obverse with white lozenge inlaid in polished bone (replaced). Black leather scabbard (craquelures, minor abrasions, re-blackened) with subtly decorated fittings of gilt non-ferrous metal. Slightly damaged in places, traces of age. Length 101.5 cm. Rare, representative edged weapon with beautifully preserved fire gilding.Condition: II
