An Art Deco Goldscheider Figure, designed by Stefan Dakon, circa 1937, model 7562, a boy skier wearing green trousers and hat, carrying a pair of skis, on a black oval base, impressed, printed and painted marks, Dakon MADE IN AUSTRIA Goldscheider Wien 7562/185/16 H 8, 26cm See illustration Stefan Dakon (1902-1992) was an Austrian artist who worked with Josef Lorenzl producing Art Deco bronze figures. Dakon's models were used by members of the Association of Bronze Producers ''Wiener Bronzen'' (Vienna Bronze) as well as the ceramics manufacturer Goldscheider from Vienna. He also designed models for the Austrian ceramics manufacturer Keramos.
JOSEPH LORENZL FOR GOLDSCHEIDER; a c.1930s Austrian porcelain figure of dancer in red lace skirt and top, on oval base marked to underneath, impressed No. 7058/25/4, height 30.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good condition with no obvious traces of damage or restoration, areas of crazing to the glaze, particularly throughout the legs and dress to both sides, two small areas of shallow chips/losses to glaze to the back lower edge of the skirt, the item was inspected under the UV light.
