DOUBLE BROUGHAM built by Charles Windover circa 1850. The curved body is painted blue on a red undercarriage with elliptic springs. By a respected maker, one of the steps has a cover, the other now missing. The interior is lined in blue satin-like material, with seat cushions to match. To include; seat squab, possibly original, blue Moroccan leather interior, horse hair fill; small black light cover blue Moroccan leather interior and horsehair fill; coach laces, remains of Broad lace and Seaming lace; two stripped brass breading pins; remains of wooden glass window frames plus a wooden and cloth whip. The interior door knobs which would have been ivory have been removed, and the window glass has been replaced by plastic. In sound condition. Dimensions: 2200 mm x 1700 mm x 3400 mm.
SPINDLE BACK GIG to suit 14-15hh. Painted black with red cloth seat cushions. Includes brass whip holder, rein rail, tug stops, leaf springs, and step both sides. Wheel hub to hub 157cm, wheel to wheel 133cm. 58cm between shafts at tug stops. Driver's floor to ground 83cm, overall height 147cm. Carriage length 300cm tip of shaft end to end of shaft at rear. Height of wheels 113cm. Needs attention.

An early 20th century erotica walking stick with cloisonne handle and concealed whip, engraved 'Frida, Le One Two Two' The One-Two-Two was one of the most luxurious and illustrious brothels of Paris in the 1930s and 1940s. The name was taken from the address, 122 Rue de Provence, 8th arrondissement of Paris. The numbers were translated into English to ensure that foreign tourists would be able to find the brothel and as a password for French people. 92cm. Condition - good.Enamelwork one cloison missing blue pigment; two further tiny flakes to enamel, not easily seen. Woodwork, whip, sliding feature and metal mount at base tip good.

A 17th century Limoges en grisaille painted enamelled plaque on copper, of rectangular shape with religious scene depicting "Self Flagellation", central cloaked male holding whip upon another lying on ground; enamelled depiction with hand painted areas and small areas of gilt highlights, reverse enamelled of copper colourway with most likely later Foreign possibly Greek script, overall approx. 14cm x 11.4cm. Further details: top left corner with missing section and damaged edge; other areas to edging with small damage or loss; reverse with multiple cracking to enamel, hole thought top central section with loss around it; surface cracking and scratching to front, overall age related marks and wear.

Ca. AD 100 - 300.A Roman gold ring with a central green jasper intaglio, depicting a chariot being pulled by four horses. On the right of the scene, the driver is holding the bridle on his left and the whip on his right. The ring features a round hoop with a d-shaped section which enlarges on the shoulders to form the oval bezel, which holds the intaglio. An expertly carved Tlingit wooden grease vessel depicting a seal and octopus on each side of the body, the seal's eyes and teeth embellished with shell inserts, and the back with small beads; the bottom marked with old collector's surname Whip. A beautiful and well preserved example. Provenance: Ex Bonhams. 38cm long. Very good, two missing inserts.
