A Victorian walnut and parquetry inlaid dome top jewellery casket, two Black Forest chamoix wall brackets, desk top ink stand with white metal mounts, novelty egg timer, and two further boxes CONDITION REPORTS Jewellery casket : general wear, scratching and knocks conducive with age and use, large split where the top has been off, mother of pearl escutcheon has chips to front, lacking interior. Wall brackets : general wear to both, one has a chunk off the right-hand leaf, the other has left-hand ear off the chamois and the left-hand antler has been off and re-glued, both have general knocks and dust conducive with age and wear. Desk stand : general wear, varnish is peeling, wood is splitting to edge, plated handle is peeling, glass ink well have some small nibbles. Egg timer : knocks and general wear conducive with age and use. Indian style carved box : general wear, large split to the top on the left-hand bottom corner. Tea chest : with general wear, top does not quite fit flush to base (probably a sign of the quality of the piece rather than damage). Suez photo frame, lacquered boxes and carved figures : all show knocks and bumps conducive with age and use.

Set by turning the single hand to the right to the desired time. When reached the separate small steel bell rings. Mounted on a purpose made wood hanging plinth. In working order. A rare 220 pound WW1 Zeppelin Naval aerial bomb. Tear-drop aerodynamic cast iron casing with a rectangular suspension frame with hanging loop to top for suspending under the Zeppelin. Fitted with a Screw in timer to tip. As found See Plate 28 Note: This bomb was recovered by Lt.Col. A.H.Osman who was the proprietor of the Pigeon Post Magazine and organised the military pigeon messenger service. His office was at 19 Doughty Street. On the night of 8th/9th September 1915, three Naval airships bombed the British mainland. 4,800KG were dropped on London, Middlesbrough and Norwich. This example failed to explode when it fell on the corner of Guildford Street and Doughty Street London.
