India – Sikh Akali Nihung Document in Punjabi c1830-1840 in joined up Punjabi Script. A most fascinating document on the formation of the Khalsa in Punjabi. The document starts giving the birth place of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and states the first 10 who were initiated into the Khalsa Fold – 1. Daya Singh, 2. Mukam Singh, 3. Sahib Singh, 4. Dharam Singh, 5. Himmat Singh then next 5 as Ram Singh, Fateh Singh, Deva Singh, Thai Singh and Isher Singh. The last line of the document (Akhi Ghata Mohe Data....) suggest it’s of Nihang lore, used when in a good mood or reciting poetry. A scarce document of the Akali Nihung sect on the formation of the Khalsa.
