Ca. 1000 - 800 BC. A conical-bodied earthenware jar with a wide, flaring neck and rolled rim. The lower neck of the vessel is incised with an intricately impressed geometric pattern. A Burmese multi-coloured top and skirt in the style of the country's national dress, bought from a silk factory in Mandalay - the raw silk top is in a multi-coloured abstract design in purple, green, brown and gold, and the long raw silk wrap-over skirt is in a colourway of royal gold and a multi-coloured striped design (2002 era).
