An early 20th Century Thai Thailand Niello silver cigarette box raised on bracket feet with sarcophagus shaped lid. Profusely decorated with scrolls and leaves. The lid features a central circular crest with wreath and latin notation. Wood lined fitted interior with makers stamp to base. Weighs 232 grams gros. Measures 11.5 cm wide.
A pair of early 20th Century Thai Thailand Niello silver goblets of three parts raised on a circular pedestal foot with single bladed knop stem and engraved bowl. Profusely decorated with scenes of Buddha and scrollwork. Twin ring handles to sides. Carved silver nut to base allowing dismantling of goblets. Measures 7.5cm tall. Weighs 219.7 grams.
BUDDHIST PALM LEAVE BOOK: A very attractive ancient handwritten book with Buddhist religious text, 8 x 1.5, 58 pages, written to both sides, on 30 palm leaves. Bound with a coeval cord, with tide extremes, two wood cases with engravings of the Qianlong period, dating from 1736 to 1796, entitled “Tantri Ati Darma (Quarto Libre)”, written in bold dark ink in Pali or Thai. Palm leaf books tradition is lost with the advent of printing presses. They were made on Palmyra and Talipot palm leaves, long up to 5 meters, which, after being boiled in a mixture of herbs, were then cut and pressed. This process meant that they could endure hundreds of years even in hot and humid environments. Very small age wear, otherwise VG £400-600

An exceptional and large 19th century Thai, beautifully cast gilt-bronze and red lacquer 'Parinivarna' reclining Buddha protected by Naga the seven serpent heads. Heavily cast on a three-tiered lotus pedestal. 122.5cm (48 2/8in) length x . Weight approx. 70 - 80kgs. Provenance: From a deceased estate in Gloucestershire purchased in 1950's. Condition very good without visible damage or repairs.

A group of vintage Thai silver, comprising a set of four graduated bowls, the repoussé worked bodies decorated with animals from the Buddhist zodiac, two of the bowls with marks to bases, largest 14.5 by 7cm, smallest 9 by 4.5cm, together with Thai silver cigarette box, wood lined interior, the lid depicting a Thai 'wat' or temple, 12 by 8 by 2.7cm, and a silver ashtray, base marked 900, 19.5toz gross.
