HORIZONTALE SONNENUHR DES 18. JH., datiert 1792 / Beraun (Beroun/ Böhmen). Bezeichnet "Fecit Ioan Engelbrecht Beraunensis 1792". Rechteckige Messingplatte mit drei Stellschrauben. Darauf umlegbares Poldreieck mit Senkellot / Pendel (40-60 Grad) sowie eingravierten Skalierungen und Bezeichnungen wie Monatskürzel oder Symbole der Tierkreiszeichen; umlaufend römische Ziffern und die Bezeichnung "Meridies" (Mittagszeit). Johann Engelbrecht (1726-1807) war ein Böhmischer Uhrmacher und Instrumentenbauer, der zwischen 1760-1804 als Hersteller von Sonnenuhren tätig war. L. 12,7 x B. 13 x H. ca. 7,5 cm. (Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren). HORIZONTAL SUNDIAL OF THE 18th CENTURY, dated 1792 / Beraun (Beroun / Böhmen). Inscribed "Fecit Ioan Engelbrecht Beraunensis 1792". Rectangular brass plate with three adjusting screws. On it, foldable pole triangle with plumb bob / pendulum (40-60 degrees) as well as engraved scales and designations such as month abbreviations, symbols of the zodiac signs; Roman numerals all around and the designation "Meridies" (noon). Johann Engelbrecht (1726-1807) was a Bohemian watchmaker and instrument maker who worked as a manufacturer of sundials between 1760-1804. L. 12.7 x W. 13 x H. approx. 7.5 cm. (Signs of usage).
