A 1940s `Retro` aquamarine, ruby and diamond ring, the large step cut aquamarine weighing 71.96 carats, claw set above bow shaped shoulders with a central line of calibre cut rubies and brilliant cut diamond edges, on a slightly tapered shank, numbered 5157, finger size W; and a pair of 1940s aquamarine and ruby `Retro` earclips, claw set with step cut aqumarines with a spray of circular cut rubies in scroll mounts, with clip fittings, 2.8cm long. Offered for sale with a Duplicate Bill from Seaman Schepps, 399 Madison Avenue, New York, dated 17th May 1949, stating an emerald cut aquamarine, diamond, ruby ring was sold in May 1943.

A ruby and diamond ring signed Bulgari, the oval cut ruby half collet set between lines of round brilliant cut diamonds tapering into the shank, size N, of white precious metal which tests for platinum, signed on inside of shank `BVLGARI`, triangular stamp on outside with `G`; gross weight 8.93g; total estimated weight of diamonds 1.80cts The ruby has many inclusions , with surface-rising fractures, and may have been treated.

An 18ct gold, glass-filled ruby and diamond dress ring, the large oval mixed cut ruby, estimated weight 15.37cts, claw set above shoulders with shield shaped inset plaques pavé set with round brilliant diamonds to a broad tapered two tier band, size N, of hallmarked 18ct gold, Birmingham 2006 The ruby is quite a light red, edging towards pink with orange hints more dominant than blue; it measures 17.78 x 13.17 x 7.81mm. The crown has various small nibbles and abrasions and a scratch down a facet edge; and some of the fine fractures are surface-rising. There are no notable areas of `windowing`, but numerous fine inclusions, veils and feathers with areas that catch the light like platelets - assumed to be micron sized gaps; small colour flashes can be observed with the right light and angles; there is one distinct hexagon of fine silk, the lines straight, the angles crisp. The ruby fluoresces under UV light - very faintly in SW and strongly red in LW. The setting is solid and sound, just light wear and tear appropriate to age.

A pair of impressive diamond and gem set earpendants, each post headed by a leaf shape pavé set with round brilliant diamonds above a calibré cut ruby suspending a diamond line bar from which is pendant a large concentric hoop set with (from the outside) 4mm bouton pearls, black hardstone (thought to be black jade or onyx), round brilliant diamonds, translucent sea-green hardstone (thought to be jade) and a further inner ring of diamonds as before; length 6.6cm, diameter of hoops 3.8cm
