It is stamped '750' and in our opinion would test as gold. The principle diamond measures 4.00mm x 4.00mm x 2.9mm approximately. Stamped 18. Ring size O 1/2. Weight 1.9gms. CONDITION REPORTThe ruby measures approx. 2.39mm diameter by 1.70mm depth. Mid to dark pinkish red with good colour saturation and depth. With a loupe, a minor chip to the facet is visible and minor surface scratches. Collet setting in good condition.Total weight of diamonds approximately 0.12 carats.Estimated colour J/K. Estimated clarity I.All are well matched. Most with minor surface marks to the facets visible with a loupe. Mount and settings are generally in good condition.
AN ART DECO SAPPHIRE, RUBY AND DIAMOND RING, half of the band set with thirteen square cut channel set rubies, the other half set with thirteen square cut channel set sapphires, between two articulated half bands, each set with ten graduating brilliant cut diamond highlights, both hinged so they can be worn with either the ruby or sapphire band. Ring size K 1/2. Weight 5.2gms. CONDITION REPORTThree of the sapphires are visibly chipped. All are dark blue and slightly cloudy, however all are well matched. One ruby is visibly cracked. All are dark pinkish red with good colour saturation. All are well matched. Total weight of the diamonds approximately 0.20 carats. Estimated colour J/K. Estimated clarity SI 2/3. Evidence of wear and tear to the mounts and band in keeping with general wear and age.
