Jean LE GAC (1936) 'Paintre laçant ses Chaussures' mixed media on canvas. On the front with an inscription: 'Le paintre francais était partie sur le motif dans les parages de l'ancienne mine a d'or' which translates to: 'The French painter had set off to explore the vicinity of the old gold mine.'Previously there was a pedestal with a projector added to this artwork, which has unfortunately been lost. An image of the projector with the pedestal in the interior of Jean Le Gac's studio, is added to the images. 1988. Provenance: From the collection of 'Roger Nellens, Knokke'. There is a matching book 'Jean Le Gac, Elisabeth Franck Gallery' with a written note to Roger Nellens by Jean Le Gac. The book is a part of the sale, but is dated before the painting (1987). Condition report:- Small tear in the canvas in the lower left corner. Otherwise in excellent condition.
