A Westerwald stoneware jug, late 17th Century, with multiple panels of angel heads on a blue ground, 16.5cm overall, a green-glazed stove tile, 16th Century, 20cm, a Bayreuth fayence plate, marked BFS, and a Palissy type casket, moulded with Islamic cufic script (broken) (4)/Provenance: from the Henry Sandon Study Collection CONDITION REPORT: Westerwald jug - lacking neck and reduced with later fixed pewter cover, large misfired patch to body occuring at time of manufacture, typical crazing to glaze.The green glazed tile - spreading hairline crack from rim into body of tile, with hole pierced to rim, small triangular chip restuck to rim beside crack, some small typical minor flaking to green glaze. The Bayreuth plate - cracked across into four pieces and restuck,with old riveted repairs, with a large rim chip and further minute glaze losses. Casket - extensively cracked and restored in several sections with small associated chips and overpainting.
