A Mafra Portuguese Palissy style ewer and stand, the ewer and cover with encrusted lizard, snail and beetle decoration, 28cm high Condition Report: Flat chip to underside of one corner on cover, very small chip to snail tail and to grass edge. The ewer with a small chip to lizards mouth. One beetle lacking nose and leg. One tiny chip to two other beetles and a few to the grass. Stand with minor old fritting to grass. Overall good appearance

Decorated with a large applied red crab to the centre on a textured ground and further ornamented with shells and aquatic weeds to the border. Impressed marks, 31cm diameter. Condition Report.
