A rare French faïence moulded dish attributed to Bernard Palissy, c.1580-1600, moulded with mask heads surmounted with floral diadems between foliate scrolls and around a central rosette, raised on a circular foot, the underside decorated in a mottled glaze, 23.5cm. Two 19th century majolica circular pots in the style of Bernard Palissy; one encrusted with a baby crocodile, frog, shell and foliate ornament , the other with fish, giant moths, a serpent etc., 20cm in diameter (2) CONDITION REPORT: There are losses and damages commensurate with age to both pots. The pot with lot number on is probably in better condition but has discoloured significantly to the inside and there are losses to the extremities etc. The pot with a part lot number on has two large vertical cracks with may well indicate that a section of the pot has been away and re-affixed etc., and also suffers from further chips, losses and extremities with the head of the snake missing and some oak leaves chipped. The height is 15cm.
