A Jose Cunha Palissy-style majolica dish, Portugueselate 19th/early 20th centurywith relief-moulded figures of a frog, toad, salamander and other animals on a mossy ground,impressed and incised marks, 25cm diameterCondition report: There is one small chip to the moss foliage, near the edge of the plate. Otherwise, no signs of any damages or any repairs. There is some crazing to the glaze all over and some typical firing cracks to underside of the plate, near the rim.

A Jose Cunha Portuguese ware Palissy type plate, of circular form, decorated in relief with a snake eating a lizard surrounded by smaller animals and insects, stamped to reverse, 25cm wide CONDITION REPORT:The grass effect ground shows a loss approximately 20mm wide at the rim (by the moth), with a further 10mm loss to a tuft where the lizard and snake tails cross. There are further small chips and nibbles to the ground throughout. The creatures all show fine surface crazing to the glazed areas, as does the underside of the plate. There is a small loss to the foot rim.
