Lucie Rie (1902-1995)Vaseswirled pale glazesimpressed potter's seal12.2cm high. There does not appear to be any chips or cracks, there is however to the middle rim some small specks where the glaze did not catch during the firing process.Near to base is an indentation of a horizontal curved line circa 5cm. Overall in good condition.

There are some minor brown glaze impurities around the rim - please see extra images to illustrate. There don’t appear to be any obvious repairs, restorations or obvious chips.

Lucie RIE (1902-1995) Footed Bowl Porcelain with yellow glaze, impressed seal to base, height 10cm, diameter 19cm.The estate of Michael Beard. Ceramics expert with Earle D. Vandekar of Knightsbridge. Michael travelled internationally to trade shows and antiques fairs, and helped with the launch of the New York branch of Vandekar in 1982. Michael retired to Cornwall around 1988 he settled at first in St Ives, where he became a prominent patron of the arts.This bowl appears to be in excellent condition, there is no obvious restoration, there are no chips and there is no scratching.There is some pitting and glaze crackle consistent with the potter's techniques and materials.UV lighting has been used for this report.

The bowl has previously had a larger shard with a further break off of the edge. The underneath of the foot with a firing crack. GARY WORNELL (born 1952); a porcelain baluster jar and cover covered in grey crackle glaze with red and gold banding, impressed mark and painted signature dated 1984, height 14cm, a vase covered in dark turquoise glaze with inlaid decoration, height 13.5cm, and a tapered vase in the manner of Lucie Rie by Paul Bradley, height 16.5cm (3). Provenance: Wornells purchased from Snape Maltings, 1986. Condition Report: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
