A Diamond Navette Cluster Ring, old cut diamonds in a white pavé setting, to shoulders each inset with an old cut diamond, in yellow claws to an indented shoulder knife edge shank, total estimated diamond weight 2.50 carat approximately, finger size K The ring is in good condition. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 4.8 grams. A Late Victorian Ruby, Diamond and Pearl Brooch, a pearl and old cut diamond cluster to the centre of a bar, with a diamond and ruby crescent around it, and ruby and diamond set terminals, in yellow and white claw and collet settings, on a yellow knife edge bar, total estimated diamond weight 0.70 carat approximately, measures 6cm by 3.2cm The brooch is in fair condition. It is a little out of shape. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 11.8 grams. CR made 20th March 2013

Silver items hallmarks good. Anything with filled handles some wear to the marks. 030613

The odd single with a shell heel and clipped tines. Otherwise all in good order with clear marks. 280513

A Japanese Carved Wood and Ivory Mounted Large Figural Okimono, late Meiji period (1868-1912), of a young girl peeling a vegetable, her chignon held by a comb, seated in a kimono on a tatami mat resting on two baskets containing further vegetables, and bare foot, 46cm high, upon an associated openwork pierced table stand of rounded rectangular form, the rails carved with pairs of birds amongst waves and scrolls, on incurved feet linked by shaped stretchers, 43cm by 30.5cm by 16cm Figure with numerous serious drying cracks on the head (some run through the face). Some drying cracks in the collar of the kimono. Further drying cracks in the limbs, hands and vegetable being peeled. Parts of the peeler knife missing (pieces not retained). Fragment of ivory on her knee which may have been a larger piece? (piece not retained and signs of glue). Some further drying cracks in wood. Cracks in both feet. Also drying cracks to fruits (which are ivory) in the basket. Some chipping along the ends of the tatami mat. The stand has been reglued and probably some new screws holding it steady. Small filler and small repairs. On the main table there are two small circular plug repairs. 030613
