WW2 SOE Force 133 Attributed Cap Badge & Original Ephemera. A scarce locally made cast brass cap badge in the form of the 50/52 Middle East Commando Knife, larger than usual with soldered loopss ... accompanied by two original postcard photographs, one wearing battledress uniform, with a dagger badge to the beret and to the breast of his battle dress blouse SOE parachute qualification wings ... Typed Confidential Report on Corporal J.B. Elliott service with Force 133, signed by Brigadier Maclean CO Force 133 ... First two typed pages of a biography Corporal Elliot began to write. Attributed to "Agent" Corporal James B Elliot RASC. The accompanying paperwork includes a typed confidential file report. signed by Brigadier Maclean Commander Force 133 for operations in the Balkans and North Italy. It confirms that Elliot was interviewed and excepted on the 8th March 1943. After sabotage and Parachute training he was ready for field duties. It quotes "Whilst in the field he performed his duties brilliantly" He assisted in the escape of 75 British & US POWs from the concentration camp at Ljubljana. After being withdrawn for a rest he was again in the field this time around the Hvar islands, detailed to destroy and sink a German Armed Sloop T17. Carrying plastic explosive in a rucksack with an Officer he climbed aboard, setting the charges they were about to escape when they were spotted by a guard. Elliot held off the German crew with MKIV grenades as the Officer finished the job, both men escaped. For this the Officer was put forward for the DSO and Elliot the MM. He then took part in Operation "Snood" this was mainly supplying food to the partisans. His next task was Operation Cuckhold in itsria. This operation was to help US shot down aircrew get to the coast and evacuation, operating as a pair, Elliott and his companion were captured by the Germans and subjected to eight days of interrogation and torture at Dubrovnik. The German HQ was attacked by Partisans and Elliot was released, his companion had been killed. Elliot returned to Force 133 base camp and was recommended due to stress and his nevus to be sent back to UK. The Brigadier wrote "I am proud to have had Cpl James Elliott to serve with me in this operation".

German Third Reich Hitler Youth Knife by P. Lungstrass, Solingen-Ohligs. A good example by scarce maker with the blade reverse bearing stamped hanging light logo, obverse bearing motto "Blut und Ehre". Nickel plated turn up quillon and pommel with two piece black chequered composition grip inlaid with red and white enamel HJ swastika diamond. Housed in black painted scabbard with black leather belt loop and securing strap. Minor service wear. GC Introduced in 1933 with the motto "Blut und Ehre" on the blade. Motto discontinued in August 1938.

WW2 Fairburn & Sykes 2nd pattern fighting knife & Economy Pattern Scabbard. A good example, with double edged 5 3/4 inch blade with spear point. The hilt with Parkerised chequered grip. The knife is housed in its original polished brown leather scabbard with press stud retaining strap, leather tangs have been contemporary removed . The scabbard is a scarce variation of the pattern having no chape. Retaining it's blackened finish. GC. This pattern of scabbard is possible an economy pattern produced about the time of the D-Day landings. The pattern is also associated with the examples dropped to the Resistance.
Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders Officer's dirk A very fine post 1880 example with fire gilt mounts by R & H.B.Kirkwood of Edinburgh. Plain polished steel clipped back blade with spear point. Polished bogwood grip carved with interlaced design, the reverse with crossed swords and Highland bonnet, ornamented with gilt studs and surmounted by an ornate gilt pommel containing a foiled citrine. Complete with original scabbard of black patent leather with rich gilt mounts supporting knife and fork both with foiled citrine. The mounts are of regimental design and embossed with Scottish thistles. The scabbard, knife and fork are all engraved with the initials N.F. Gilt remains fresh VGC. Attributed to Captain Percy William Norman Fraser DSO Killed in Action France 22nd February 1915. Commissioned April 1898, Lt April 1899, Captain 1902. Served with the regiment during the Nile Expedition 1898, South Africa 1900-1902 Awarded the DSO. Later served in East Africa 1903-04.
An early 20th century oak serpentine-front cutlery table housing a quantity of hallmarked silver cutlery for Sheffield 1979, comprising six dinner forks, six small forks, eight dessert spoons, six soup spoons, four tablespoons, six teaspoons, butter knife, cake server and cheese knife, weighable silver approx 73ozt. Also two sets of six silver-handled knives and a set of five silver-handled tea knives.
A collection of hallmarked silver, white metal and silver plated souvenir spoons, some enamelled, to include a Blue Funnel Line crested example, two relief-decorated for Euston Rifle Club etc, together with a pair of trench art napkin rings, each having a crest for Amiens and a Victorian mother of pearl bound hallmarked silver folding fruit knife.
