Fresh and flavourful with a superb selection of botanicals, a number of which are grown in the Garden of England itself, like Kentish lavender, hops, elderflower, rose hips and Samphire grown way out on the coast. The Herno Gin is a London dry style gin distilled at the Hernö Brenneri on the east coast of Sweden. They use a homemade wheat spirit as the base and steep their 8 botanicals for 18 hours before distilling in a 250 litre copper still (called Kierstin) (est £40-£80)

The Tanqueray is an incredible small batch London dry gin made in pot still number 10. Tanqueray Number 10 is citrussy and full bodied. (est £70-£100)

Superb in a summer-y cocktail, or simply served over ice. The London Dry Gin is made with 100% British wheat spirits and infused with a bright selection of botanicals, including fresh lemon and grapefruit peels, cubeb berries, cardamom, coriander, angelica root and Macedonian juniper berries. The Darnleys Gin is a cinnamon and nutmeg led London Dry Gin from Wemyss and is bottled at 42.7% to add to its warming character. (est £60-£120)
* A Bottle of Bols Genever, a Bottle of Beefeater 24 London Dry Gin and a Bottle of Gordon's Gin 35cl (3) The Bols is a beautiful, old fashioned Genever made by the great Dutch distillers, Bols. Loads of character, and very unique in flavour. The Beefeater 24 is a more recent addition to the Beefeater range. When creating Beefeater 24, Desmond Payne knew he had to come up with something totally different for his selection of botanicals. He used tea! The 12 ingredients used are Japanese Sencha Tea, Chinese green tea and then Seville orange peel, grapefruit peel, lemon peel, juniper, coriander seed, liquorice, angelica root, almond and orris root. It is called Beefeater 24 because the botanicals are steeped in the spirit for a full 24 hours. The result is a fragrant gin with good sweetness. Gordon's Gin is a triple-distilled gin flavoured with juniper berries, coriander, angelica, and one other botanical. The actual recipe is only known to a dozen people! (est £50-£90)

A Martha Gunn Toby jug c.1810, after the Wood model, seated and holding a bottle and a gin glass, wearing a patterned dress and with a black hat bearing the Prince of Wales feathers resting on top of her head, the chamfered base with faux marble decoration, the handle restored, 28.2cm. Martha Gunn (1726-1815) was described by the Morning Herald as "the Venerable Priestess of the Bath", being the most famous of the operators of the bathing machines on Brighton beach. She was a favourite of the Prince of Wales, the future George IV.

A silver hallmarked Gin label having scrolled foliate decoration and chain attachment (hallmarked Birmingham 1979), a silver hallmarked propellor pencil with a red stone finial (hallmarked Birmingham) and a miniature spoon having an enamelled flower to the handle. Total weight 21.7g. Gin Tag measures 6cm wide.
