Original vintage Chinese propaganda poster "Walk the road of Dazhai" featuring a smiling Chinese worker in the foreground breaking rocks with a hammer and chisel while other workers build a rice terrace stone wall on the hill above farming fields and water behind him, the slogan below in red and white letters. Mao Zedong set up the Dazhai community as a model area of agriculture during the Cultural Revolution period (1960-70s). Good condition, small tears and creases on margins. Year of printing: 1965, country of printing: China, designer: Qian Daxin, dimensions (cm): 107x76.5.

Great Western Railway 12 inch teak cased drop dial chisel bottom fusee railway clock with a large rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement. The one piece turned surround has had part of the top cut down and has one side door and a bottom door with the lock removed and replaced with a GWR ball bearing catch. The bezel, still with its wartime black finish, requires the hinge to be soldered back on. The GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 1192 is screwed to the front of the drop. The dial has been repainted BR-W post 1948 and has some areas of paint loss. A very early GWR clock supplied by John Walker of London circa 1860-1870. Requires some restoration but complete with pendulum and key and appears to be working.
