A rare King George IV whisky water jug by Royal Doulton, of Victorian shape with scroll handle, decorated all over in under glazed black with floral sprigs and a portrait of the King. Inscribed in red "With the compliments of the Proprietors of King George IV" Old Scotch Whisky, further inscribed in black "To the memory of His Late Majesty, Born Aug.t 12, 1762 and details of his reign, 14.5 cm high (See lot 100 for illustration).

Three works, 8vo; all internally clean and bright. the first work with a 2nd impression dust-wrapper with slight wear to the spine extremities and corners of the folds; the dust-wrapper of the second work has chipping to the spine extremities and sellotape residue to the verso and more recent scotch tape reinforcement to the spine and a little wear to the corners of the folds; the dust-wrapper of the third worke has slight browning to the spine and fading to the spine lettering.
