A Victorian mahogany Scotch chest on stand, with two serpentine drawers above four further drawers with wooden knob handles and all raised on a plinth base. Width 123 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The chest of drawers is in generally good condition. The top is flat with no significant problems. The cornice is in good condition all round. The sides of the piece are again in good order. There are some scuffs where the top has been lifted on to the base but again these are barely significant. The right hand scrolling corbal is a little loose. The drawer fronts are in generally good condition but there are some losses to the cockbeading, note right hand side drawer 1 and 2. There is also a small nibble to the cockbeading on the third long drawer on the edge below the right hand handle. The plinth is in generally good order. We can see no evidence of any woodworm. Drawer 2 has a missing lock.
