A gold plated Waltham pocket watch. Open face with cream dial, black Arabic numerals, with the minutes in red, with a subsidiary seconds dial. The case back is engraved with a shield and foliar design, with beading to the case edge. Manual wind mechanism, winds and is ticking. Screw off case back reveals the decorative mechanism, blued steel screws and jewelled fly wheel. The mechanism signed The American Watch Company of Waltham, Massachusetts, further stamped with the prestigious 'Bond Street' Grade, intended for export to the UK, stamped with the serial number 13932165 which dates this timepiece to 1905. The case is signed Philadelphia Watch case Company, and was Guaranteed for twenty years, further stamped with the case reference number 9280474. Diameter of the case 4.9cm.
