With white enamelled dial, black enamel roman numerals and outer seconds ring and second hand. The dial numbered 67343. The outer edge of the case fitted with sliding stop switch, hallmarked, London c.1916; with a key; Also a silver cased, half hunter, keyless wind pocket watch by Waltham. The white enamel dial signed Waltham, with black enamel roman numerals, and subsidiary seconds dial. The movement plate signed `A.W.W.Co` Waltham Mass 15 jewels`, numbered 13970608. (2)

Waltham, Riverside Maximus. A 9 carat gold half hunter pocket watch, the white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and signed 'Waltham, USA', the movement having a lever escapement and signed 'A.W.W. Co, Waltham, Mass. Riverside, Maximus, 15061872', the half hunter case hallmarked for 9 carat gold, Birmingham 1929 and stamped with the casemaker's initial's 'A.L.D.' for Dennison, the rear engraved with monogrammed initials, diameter 48mm. * The American Watch Co. was the predecessor of the Waltham Watch Co. although watches continued to be signed by both concerns along with names of the other companies under this umbrella. Watches for the British market were exported and then cased in this country, usually by the Dennison Watch Case Co. of Birmingham. Aaron Dennison (1812-1895) had set up the above watchmaking company in 1854 at Waltham, Mass., before setting up his case factory in Birmingham.
