London Brighton and South Coast Railway nickel cased pocket watch with top wound and top set U.S. Watch Co Waltham Mass movement 58870. The US watch company were originally a subsiduary of the Waltham Co but set up in competition with them in 1885, they closed in 1900. The dial is enamelled LB&SCR and has a small hairline crack. The rear of the case is hand engraved 365. In working condition, a rare example of an early LBSCR watch.
Taff Vale Railway nickel cased pocket watch with American Waltham Watch Co movement 10353084 which dates this watch to 1883. Top wound and top set, the dial is enamelled with the suppliers name SPIRIDON & SON CARDIFF and has a few minor chips and hairline cracks. The rear of the case is hand engraved TAFF VALE RAILWAY (a little worn) and machine engraved TV 180. In working condition.

Condition: currently in good working order although wont be sold with any guarantees, dial very clean no damage, light knife marks to opening on inner case, outer case inscribed with initials and picture of a house, no dents, no inscriptions to inner case, movement winds ok.
