Warhols "Chicken Noodle Soup" ist eines der häufigsten ikonischen Arbeiten Warhols. Schon 1962 hatte er eine seinerzeit provokante Gemälde-Werkreihe mit 32 Campbell's Suppendosen geschaffen. Sechs Jahre später setzte er die Motive in ein Portfolio mit zehn Siebdrucken um. Warhol war fasziniert von der Konsumkultur und diese Arbeit erinnert zugleich an die Werbung der bekannten Suppenmarke, die er jahrzehntelang selbst zu sich genommen hatte. Die einfache Darstellung der Dose hat einen besonders großen Wiedererkennungswert. Als Beispiel für Warhols auffälligen Pop Art-Stil ist sie zu einem wesentlichen Bestandteil seines Oeuvres, der amerikanischen und internationalen Kunstgeschichte geworden. At the Academy of Fine Arts & Design in Ljubljana he studied painting with professors Marija Preglej , Gabrijel Stupica , Božidar Jakac and Riko Debenjak . He graduated in 1958 . From 1973 he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, from 1984 as a full professor of drawing and painting (until his retirement in 1999); in two terms (1977-1981) he was also its dean. In 1995 he was elected an associate member and in 2001 a full member of SAZU . He was the secretary of the 5th grade of SAZU (for the arts) from 2002 to 2008, then a member of the presidency of SAZU.His media include painting, graphics and drawing, as well as tapestry, sculpture, stained glass and graphic design. He participated in the issues of color harmony in architecture. After 1978, he led the establishment and participated in the design of the study program of the Department of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, of which he was the first head (until 1988), and in the renewal of art education in Slovenian schools.Sight: 26 1/2 x 26 1/2 in. Serigraph by Trinidad Osorio with a female figure standing with 4 large baskets of fruit on all sides of her. It is titled "Fruit Market" and signed and numbered in the lower left. Gallery label verso. Osorio studied at the San Carlos Academy and at the National School of Plastic Arts. He was awarded a scholarship by UNAM to study new painting techniques and art history in the United States.
