During his playing career he won the Soviet Footballer of the Year award three times and the Ukrainian Footballer of the Tear award and European Footballer of the year.

A rare walnut cased Decca Model 300 Television Radio Gram retailed by Harrod's, the doors opening to reveal a fitted TV screen and dials, the lift up lid enclosing a Decca record player, bearing Decca & Harrod's supply label to reverse, 111cm high, 75cm wide, 48cm deep. Auctioneer Note: It is understood that the model was introduced circa 1952 and carried a retail price of around £350. This example was bought by the current vendor from a Golding's auction in Grantham in the early 1990's.
