THE MIKE TAYLOR TRIO - TRIO LP (ORIGINAL UK MONO COPY - COLUMBIA SX 6137). A fantastic British Jazz rarity with this exceedingly scarce original 1967 LP from The Mike Taylor Trio. Introducing Jack Bruce, Ron Rubin and John Hiseman, this copy is believed to be owned by original bass player Ronald Rubin and is signed to the top of the reverse sleeve. The record (original black/blue Columbia labels. mono SX 6137) is in very fine Ex condition showing only a couple of very light and minor surface hairline marks to the lustrous and glossy playing surfaces where there are absolutely no heavier feelable scratches. Matrix (machine stamped): XAX 3325-1U & XAX 3326-1U with KT tax code to side 1. The original mono flipback design sleeve is in neat VG+ condition showing a few light creases to the front laminate and a little red pen to the reverse. Appearing to have been annotated by Ronald Rubin on the tracks where he and Jack Bruce had been playing. Without any rips, tears or seam splits and with the spine in clean, fully legible order. A lovely example.
