Bert Sproston. Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City & England 1933-1950. England International cap awarded to Sproston for his international appearance for England versus Wales, played at Ninian Park, Cardiff on the 22nd October 1938. The red international cap with wired England rose emblem to front and to peak ‘1937-38’. Sold in its original box with tissue, compliment slip from Stanley Rous of the Football Association, Wales v England players folding itinerary card for the match, listing the players, accommodation etc. The cap in very good condition was previously sold by Phillips, one of a number of Sproston’s caps sold (copy of original sale details enclosed) Bert Sproston was a right back who made eleven International appearances for England during his playing career. He was a Tottenham Hotspur player when he won this cap. Having been a record signing for Spurs from Leeds United in June 1938 for a fee of £9,500, he only stayed with Spurs for five months, having failed to settle in London. He moved to Manchester City for £10,000 in November 1938 Wales won the match 4-2

Paolo `Raddy` Radmilovic (1886-1968) grew up to be one of Wales most famous sporting sons. He was a waterpolo player and swimmer who won four gold medals across three successive Olympic Games, a British record until broken by Sir Steve Redgrave. In 1928 he became the first person to compete for Britain at five Olympic Games, a record that would remain until 1976

ALAN SHEARER NEWCASTLE UNITED AUTOGRAPHED 2003 JERSEY On 30 July 1996, for a world transfer record-breaking £15 million, Shearer joined his hometown club Newcastle United. Shearer made his league debut away at Everton, on 17 August 1996 and maintained his form during the rest of the season, finishing as Premier League top-scorer for the third consecutive season with 25 goals in 31 Premier League games, as well as winning another PFA Player of the Year accolade. In ten years at the Club, he made 303 appearances scoring 148 goals.

He downplayed United`s £19 million investment to reporters, saying "The price is not heavy for me-it lifts me up because it means United have big confidence in me." During his first season , Van Nistelrooy scored 23 goals in 32 league games. He broke the record he shared with Mark Stein, Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry, by scoring in eight consecutive league games. He also scored 10 Champions League goals, and was named the PFA Players` Player of the Year. In 2006, Van Nistelrooy left Manchester United for Real Madrid after being purchased for €24 million.
