DAVID BOWIE FIRST EVER STUDIO RECORDING OF "I NEVER DREAMED" WITH THE KONRADS. Incredible piece of music history in the form of an 18 minute long audio reel tape containing The Konrads first studio recording featuring David Bowie on vocals. The tape begins with 2 instrumentals entitled "Wonderful Land" and "Hall of Mountain Kings" followed by seven different takes of the track "I Never Dreamed". The track was written by Alan Dodds and arranged by Alan, David (Bowie) and Roger Ferris in David's bedroom during 1962. They had been performing the track for a number of months when their agent, Eric Easton (manager of The Rolling Stones!) suggested they go into the studio and record a demo that he could use to try and get them an audition at Decca. David was the sax player in the band but it was felt that this track best suited his vocals and so in early 1963 they booked into R.G. Jones small studio in Morden. For the past 55 years the recording has been in the possession of The Konrads drummer David Hadfield, it has never before been heard by the general public and is the only known copy to exist. Included is a CD copy of the tape with 2 edited masters.
