IPSWICH - NORWICH 1939-40 Scarce Ipswich home programme for the fixture v Norwich, 2/9/1939 and the last of three fixtures played before World War 2 started and the season was truncated and wartime regional football commenced. Ipswich had previously defeated Norwich in the Football League Jubilee game but this game ended 1-1. Score noted, slight fold, slight ageing to one edge. Generally good

1982 FIFA WORLD CUP FINAL Rare official issue produced by the Royal Spanish World Cup organising committee titled "MUNDIAL Futbol '82 AHORA LA FINAL " includes programme for the Second Final round of the tournament with twelve teams split in to four groups of three teams and inc England, Northern Ireland, Spain, USSR, Belgium, Poland, West Germany, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, France and Austria. This issue also previews the Final and inc large front cover Panoramic view of the Santiago Bemabeu stadium where the Final was to be contested. Generally good
WARTIME - GERMANY Scarce programme for Armed Forces Football Competition played in Germany. Game is between Combined Services (Germany) and Norwegian Army, played 20/10/46 in Dusseldorf. Signed on cover "Best wishes Eddie Baily" who played for Tottenham and England. Players in the Services side included four players from Scottish sides plus Parson (West Ham), Baily, Rickaby (Middlesbrough) , Duggan (Luton) and Lee (York). There were four groups in this Inter Allied Football Competition held in Germany and GB were in a group with the Danish and the Norwegian Forces.. There is a rather unusual note to the back cover stating that "Officer spectators may obtain tea from the Yacht Club after the game". some folds. Generally good

Edition of the Spanish football magazine "AS" dated the same day which includes extensive match previews, programme style team line-ups and front cover headline. RUGBY LEAGUE-IRELAND Programmes from two Rugby League games played in Ireland. Halifax v Warrington 27/5/54 at Windsor Park, Belfast (punch-holes) these two teams had earlier contested the Rugby League Cup Final + replay at Odsal. The second programme is for a Grand Rugby League Tournament , 26/27-5-62 at John F Kennedy Stadium, Santry, Co Dublin. The four teams competing were Huddersfield v Warrington and Widnes v Featherstone Rovers on the Saturday, the two winners playing each other in the Final the following day. Scarce items.
