Scarce programme for Jimmy Greaves's first match in a Tottenham Hotspur jersey, an away reserves fixture at Home Park, Plymouth Argyle, 9th December 1961,green sheet typescript 4-pagerJimmy Greaves scored twice in the 4-1 win over Plymouth. The announcement that we was to play at Home Park drew a bumper crowd for a reserves fixture of 4,000, but it is estimated that only 1,000 programmes were printed for the match. Greaves then made his first team debut in the League match v Blackpool at White Hart Lane a week later and scored a hat-trick, including a flying scissor kick, during the 5-2 win.

Benson & Hedges continued their sponsorship with the tournament being played at Goffs, in County Kildare. The present trophy was retired after tobacco sponsorship of sports events was outlawed. The Irish government stepped in to fund the event thereafter.A rare opportunity to purchase a majors sports trophy bearing the names of snooker players afforded legendary status thanks to a great deal by the televised boom and professional management and marketing by the likes of Barry Hearn.

Rare programme for the World Tennis Championship on Clay at Saint Cloud 29th May to 7th June 1914,The World Championships were organised by the ILTA between 1912 & 1923 (excluding the war years)m with separate titles held on grass, clay & indoors. With the exception of one year (1922) the clay championships were held at Saint Cloud in France. In 1914 the men's singles title was won by the Australian Anthony Wilding, and the ladies by Suzanne Lenglen.
