SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY DOOLEY Sheffield Wednesday Floodlight Installation Archive Derek Dooley Testimonial match 9th March 1955. A collection of ephemera relating to the installation of floodlights at Hillsborough and the first match under the lights. The items include 2 huge original photographs, one of the match (45x37 inches) and one of the ground (28x22 inches), 5 copy letters re installation, GEC lighting schedule, Quotation from Bownes & Co, 2 sets of architect drawings, one set of traceable architects plans, 5 original press photos of the floodlights (8x6 inches) and various dignatories on opening day, advertising flyer for the opening matches England B v Germany B March 23rd 1955 and Sheffield X1 v International X1, an official invitation and Directors' Box ticket and match programme for the Sheffield X1 match signed by Derek Dooley. Generally good.
WARTIME AT MANSFIELD 44 Inter-Services match programme, A.A.Command v RAF XI , 25/3/44 at Mansfield, four page issue. The A.A.Command XI was made up entirely of Stoke and West Ham players, 6 x Stoke and 5 x West Ham. The RAF XI included players from Sunderland, Chelsea, Arsenal, Shef Utd, Stoke, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Leicester and Crystal Palace. The match seems to have ended 4-4.. Programme has folds, pencil score, scorers, slight tears and is a little worn. Fair

1959 CUP FINAL Official programme, ticket and a telegram to Alan Brown (Luton) from a Blackpool address wishing Luton good luck. Programme has been signed by referee Clough and Readle the linesman and is in good condition, seat ticket has a crease but is in generally good condition and the telegram is in good condition.. The Liverpool County team has autographed the team list and included 5 x Everton players Kirby, Tomlinson, Rea, Brookfield and Fairclough and 4 x Liverpool players, Green, Dickson, Rent and Broderick. Clear signatures. Generally good
FORCES FOOTBALL 1946 Scarce programme, Allied Forces European Association Football Championship, Final played 3/11/46 in Berlin, Great Britain Combined Services (Germany) v Czech Army . The eight page programme shows that GB beat Norway6-0 and Denmark 5-0 to reach the Semi-Final where they defeated Netherlands 8-0. The score for the Final is noted as 6-3 to GB. The British team was Cowan, Powell, Martin, Mills, Rickaby, Gavin, Parsons, Bailey (probably Eddie Baily), Thompson, Steel and Lee. Slight folds. Generally good
CHELSEA 1943 Chelsea single sheet programme covering two games, 26/4/43 , one between British Army and the RAF, the other between Belgian Army and Norwegian Forces. Players included Swift, both Comptons, Mercer, Cullis, Britton, Westcott, Hagan, Scott, Hardwick, Burgess, Joy, Soo, Matthews, Carter, Drake and Doherty, not a bad line-up. Fold but no writing. Charlton 55/6 programme with 7 signatures of both clubs on the front cover, Lincoln City v. Newport 62/3 with 13 Lincoln autographs, Huddersfield v. Sampdoria 70/1 with 16 Huddersfield signatures on the back cover and Wolves v. Huddersfield 88/9 signed by 20 Wolves players. Includes a small framed and glazed montage of 10 Churchmans Cigarette Footballer cards including Tommy Lawton and Sam Bartram. Fair to generally good
WARTIME FOOTBALL Scarce four page programme, Polonia (Emigrants and D.Ps) v 53rd (W) Div , 6/10/45 at Wuppertal Stadium. Various British Army teams played many games in Germany shortly after the War including games against both German and Polish teams. Swindin in goal, Aston and Meakin played for the 53rd. D.Ps = Detained Persons (by the Germans). Slight folds. Generally good
1970 WORLD CUP FINAL Brazil v Italy played Sunday 21 June 1970 at the Estadio Azteca, Mexico City. Rare ''Stadio'' special souvenir newspaper style issue published for the World Cup Final. The front cover is titled ''ITALIA-BRASILE IL MONDO COPPA'' and includes a very large depiction of the Jules Rimet Trophy in Gold. Includes full Final previews with programme style team line-ups inside in football pitch diagram format and pen pictures of the Brazil / Italy players plus a history of the previous World Cup Finals. Also has full coverage of the third/fourth place play-off match West Germany v Uruguay also played at the Estadio Azteca with pitch diagram format team line-ups. Generally good
