Good condition. 2) A silver topped swagger stick with crown over Maltese Cross & T.C.L.B.C in quadrant below. 3) A 19th century fencing 'Epee' cord bound grip. 'SOLINGEN' stamped to quatrefoil blade 29". Butterfly guard with leather pad. A good lot of interesting items in good condition. (3)
A tribal knobkerrie, a walking stick, a sword, with a carved wood handle, in a matching scabbard (3) Condition report Report by GHThe knobkerrie is 73 cm long. Generally in good condition, metal bindings tight and no obvious damage to the wood. Very thin split down the shaft, probably part of the wood grain.
A c1900 indigenous knobkerrie, length approx 76cm, two early tourist African spears and a cow hide shield supported by a long dowel threaded with contrasting hide, height approx 70cm (4). CONDITION REPORT 146cm and 128cm, the lot can be posted in two large boxes. No woodworm, no obvious visible signs of damage, general wear commensurate with age.
