1870’s Period Zulu Warriors / Executioners Knobkerrie, fantastic example of a typical knobkerrie from the time of the Anglo Zulu war. The club has very large and heavy bulbous end which has been fitted with two metal boot studs which have been flattened, probably removed from a British soldiers boots from the battle field. Straight shaft with slightly tapered end. 64cms in length.
Zulu Knobkerrie / Staff, being an early example of the hardwood club having a small bulbous end. The shaft has three crude sections of binding which would indicate this is quite an early example. Large age crack to the head and stress cracks to the shaft. 75cms in length. Remains of an old paper label to the head.
