ZULU KNOBKERRIE four very fine wire work grips, 19th century. length 80cm Provenance: Brought back by Ordinary Seaman Albert Hodges, who during the Zulu War served on H.M.S Boadicea. He was one of 223 men from Boadicea who formed part of a Naval Brigade. They took part in The Battle of Gingindhlovu, the Relief of Eshowe and later the Battle of Majuba Hill. Sold by direct order of the family who still own the medal group to Hodges.
