Hermes: a circa 1940s Ex Libris silk scarf, in green, navy and white colourway, depicting horse and carriage scenes with central motif roundel, marked Hermes, Paris to bottom right corner, hand rolled and stitched hems, approx. 83x88cm (illustrated) NB: This scarf was presented to the vendor in 1946 and remains unworn CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, a couple of very light pulls to the silk travelling in from the hand rolled hem, otherwise as new condition

Lion, H.M.S. Hydra & H.M.S. Hannibal. All of these ship portraits date the ships to late 19th/early 20th century.
HERMES. An Hermes, Paris silk square. CONDITION REPORTS: The size is 86 x 88cm. The condition is generally very good, except for one side which has come partially unrolled and needs re-hand stitching. There is not an original Hermes box with the scarf, it does come, however, with a modern, unrelated box.

The shirt was given to an equipment manager directly after the match.

VI Royal Naval Reserve decoration dated verso 1946, together with miniature examples, an H.M.S. Hermes tally, various photographs and a volume of H.M.S. Hermes 1923 & 1959 by Neil McCart. Awarded to Officer J.A. Creed Lt. Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who survived the sinking of H.M.S. Hermes by Japanese aircraft on 9th April, 1942.
