CAST AWAY (2000) - Chuck Noland's (Tom Hanks) Screen-matched Hero WilsonChuck Noland's (Tom Hanks) screen-matched hero Wilson from Robert Zemeckis' drama Cast Away. During his four years stranded alone on a desert island, plane-crash survivor Chuck created Wilson, his only companion, out of a volleyball he found in one of several FedEx packages that washed ashore. Both Chuck and Wilson's appearance became more dishevelled throughout the film as they spent more time on the island. Markings on the volleyball's 'face' screen match it to the scene in the cave after Chuck has created fire. The off-white leather volleyball is intentionally distressed with a dark brown-and-red 'face', created in the film by Chuck's bloody handprint. It features a faded pair of eyes, nose, and mouth. The other side of the ball bears the Wilson® and Association of Volleyball Professionals logos. All minor signs of wear present on the lot are from use on production. Dimensions: 19 cm x 19 cm x 19 cm (7 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 7 1/2") Estimate: £60,000 - 100,000 ΩThis lot will be auctioned on Thursday, November 3rd. Bev found the postcard -originally written by Ben (Jeremy Ray Taylor) when they were children - in her old apartment. The postcard screen-matches the one in the scene in the way it is torn and has a hair caught under the tape at the top. The postcard has been intentionally distressed with printed blood stains and has been torn roughly into quarters and taped back together. The message from Ben is a haiku, which reads "Your hair is winter fire / January embers / My heart burns there too - Secret Admirer". II replica sub-machine gun from Terrence Young’s Bond film Dr. No. Dr. Julius No’s (Joseph Wiseman) guards carried STEN Mk. I and Mk. II sub-machine guns while patrolling the beaches of his island Crab Key. James Bond (Sean Connery) notably drowned a guard carrying a STEN Mk. II to prevent his discovery. The weapon is a replica STEN Mk. II sub-machine gun made to be used as an on-screen production prop and cannot chamber or fire any rounds of ammunition. This model was the second-most produced sub-machine gun of World War II, and was used extensively by the British and Commonwealth forces. Made from blackened soft metal, it features a magazine clip at a 90-degree angle on the left, three sets of three evenly spaced holes along the barrel sleeve, and a single strut stock that angles down. STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN (1982) - Screen-matched Light-up Battle-damaged USS Enterprise Hull Insert Model MiniatureA screen-matched, light-up, battle-damaged USS Enterprise hull insert section model miniature display from Nicholas Meyer's Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, its immediate sequel, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. After taking control of the USS Reliant, Khan Noonien Singh (Ricardo Montalban) opened fire on the Enterprise's secondary hull, severely crippling the ship. While models of the Enterprise from the production of Star Trek: The Motion Picture were used throughout filming, this ornately detailed, hand-painted model miniature was constructed by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) to appear specifically battle-damaged during the attack sequence in The Wrath of Khan. It was then reused for insert shots of the ship in both The Search for Spock and The Undiscovered Country. The battle-damaged section screen-matches to shots in the third film, while its many lights screen-match to shots in the sixth. This electronic display consists of the hull section model miniature and two plastic-panelled wood wing pieces with miniature illuminating spotlights all mounted to a particleboard base marked "These bulbs are 3 1/2 volts max!" designed to control small lights installed throughout the model. The electronic base features two Starfleet emblems and five switches labelled "Main", "Interior Lights", "Exterior Lights", "Arm Photon", and "Fire Torpedo" which activate various illuminating sections of the hull. The model itself is constructed of resin, wood, paper, and panelled plastic with internal steel and aluminium components, some of which are exposed around the battle-damaged area. It is painted grey and blue with red, blue, white, black, and yellow decals applied throughout, and lined with lights. The lot exhibits some signs of use and handling, including scuffed and discoloured paint, loose panelling, and scratched wood. Dimensions: 139.75 cm x 147.5 cm x 76.25 cm (55" x 58" x 30")Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.Special shipping required; see special shipping notice in the Buyer's Guide. TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY (1991) - T-800's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) Bullet-Riddled Jacket with Handwritten Linda Hamilton Letter of AuthenticityThe T-800's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) bullet-riddled jacket from James Cameron's sci-fi action sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day with a Letter of Authenticity handwritten by Linda Hamilton. The T-800 wore his iconic leather jacket throughout the film, including when it took heavy fire from the police in a teargas-filled hallway of the Cyberdyne Systems building. There are shots in the film that likely feature this exact jacket based on the squib holes and other markings; however, the detail visible onscreen is not clear enough to establish the screen-match conclusively. This black leather jacket was originally purchased at a charity event in Long Beach, California, shortly after the film's release. It features metal zippers and snaps, bullet holes throughout, and black tape covering some of the holes. Its interior lining is affixed via fastening strips, rather than sewn in, to allow production to install and rig squibs. This jacket is intentionally distressed by production with scuffs, tears, grime, stiffening leather, and tears throughout the lining, as well as tape residue from pieces of black tape placed over squib hits to alter the look for continuity or be blown open when a squib was detonated. Also included is a handwritten LOA from Hamilton. Estimate: £20,000 - 30,000 ΩThis lot will be auctioned on Thursday, November 3rd. The auction will begin at 3:00PM GMT and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast at propstore.com on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on Friday, November 4th; Saturday, November 5th; or Sunday, November 6th.
CLOWN SKATEBOARDS,PODIUM SET OF 3 SKATEBOARDS,Screen printed using inks of Gold, Silver and Bronze on to off white, signed and marked verso,Test print set #5Clown skateboards was founded in 2000, launching with an inaugural release of Banksy designed skateboards and legendary logo and they had one of the UK’s leading skateboard teams. In 2005 the brand was put on ice with the aim of restarting at some point in the future. 15 years later Clown skateboards are back with the manifesto: "HERE TO FINISH WHAT WE STARTED. But what's the story of Banksy and the logo? "After yet another drunken night out with the man himself, we were all arguing about how to do a proper Exhibition in London that was not legal. As we were stumbling from pub to pub in Shoreditch we walked through Rivington Street which was THE perfect place to do something illegal, you had the tunnel to paint in and it would be easy to close the road off as no one really used it at this point. Just one week later we were back with 2 buckets of paint, a letter and some painting company signs we nicked off a building site. The letter was forged from an arts organisation wishing us luck with the ‘Tunnel Vision Project’ in case we got a pull. An hour later the walls were painted, and the stencils were up, and we held an opening party three days later with beers and hip hop bumping out the back of a van. The police arrived but let us carry on and the petrol generator for the sound system caught on fire, but it was a night that goes down in history. At that point, it was all about doing favours for each other to make things easier to survive; so we were helping Banksy put up, sell some works and pay the bills – and at the same time, we were just getting things together to open up a company that was skate, art and music-oriented and Banksy kindly agreed to do our logo for us – the Clown logo was born in July 2000.
