Two vintage Max Carl original West Germany made clockwork animals to include; monkey playing the cymbals & giraffe with moving neck & tail. Both with their original Max Carl toy labels. Giraffe measures approx 20cm tall, monkey 17cm tall. Both within their original boxes, and in working order.
A LOUIS XVI BRONZE ORMOLU AND MARBLE CASED MANTLE CLOCK by Laurent Ridel, the case surmounted by a cherub playing cymbals above the drum movement on a Roman alter, flanked by young fauns playing horns to either side, with further Bacchanalian symbols at their feet, the marble plinth with rounded ends applied with classical mounts including Hermes masks and on engine turned tapering feet, the enamel dial with floral swags, date indicator and signed 'Ridel á Paris', the movement with count wheel striking the hours and half hours on a bell and with back plate also signed by the maker, 66cm wide x 56cm high

L and F Moreau (French, 1855-1919 and 1857-1930): A clock garniture, the Rococo style clock body with two flaming torches flanking scrolling cartouche above white dial with Arabic numerals, to the side a bronze cherub playing the cymbals whilst standing on cloth drapery, the base with central original gilded scrolling leaves and two later gilt scrolls to front corners. lacking feet, clock movement stamped S.H. Paris, striking on a bell, base of clock with plaque inscribed 'Enfants aux Cymbales, par L. et F. Moreau, Mlle d'Or', flanked by a pair of urns cast with flowers and musical instruments, gilded compressed globular feet, all with pink-yellow marble bases, 32cm high and smaller. (3)
