Jellicoe aluminum cigarette case, and vesta case (6) Mr Robert Hendrickson, born 1865, Noldervalle, Sweden, M.I.C. gives reference to Newport, Monmouthshire The Torpedo Badge was awarded to those whose ships had been sunk or damaged by torpedo or mine and had, subsequently, made another voyage on the articles of a British Vessel. Bars could be awarded to masters and seamen each time they were torpedoed or mined. It was authorized on 6.6.1918, the badge itself was made of red worsted as were the bars, they continued to be issued from 1919-1922 (Officers & Men of the Navy, Marines and Mercantile Marine, refer)
